Minesh Mehta, M.D., is a renowned expert in radiation oncology, proton therapy and cancer research and serves as deputy director and the John and Mary Lou Dasburg Endowed Chair in Radiation Oncology at Baptist Health Miami Cancer Institute, chief of Radiation Oncology at Baptist Health, and chair of the Department of Oncological Sciences at Florida International University Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine. Dr. Mehta is board certified in radiation oncology by the American Board of Radiology and in neuro-oncology by the United Council for Neurologic Subspecialties. He has held national leadership positions in numerous organizations, including the American Board of Radiology, the FDA Radiological Devices Panel, the American Society for Radiation Oncology, the American Society of Clinical Oncology and the Society of Neuro-Oncology. Murugesan Manoharan, MD

Murugesan Manoharan, M.D., FRACS, is a surgical urologic oncologist and the chief of urologic oncology surgery at Miami Cancer Institute. Dr. Manoharan specializes in the treatment of genitourinary cancers, including bladder, kidney, prostate and testicular cancer. Dr. Manoharan also serves as the chairman of the Department of Urology at Baptist Health South Florida and a professor of urology at Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine, Florida International University.In 2022, the Abbhi Family Endowed Chair in Urologic Oncology was created to help Dr. Manoharan and the Institute conduct research and clinical trials to improve survival rates and quality of life for patients with bladder cancer.He joined Miami Cancer Institute from the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center, where he served as one of the site disease group leaders for genitourinary cancers. He also practiced urology at Jackson Memorial Hospital and the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Miami.Dr. Manoharan is a renowned leader in the treatment of prostate cancer, kidney cancer, bladder cancer and other urologic malignancies. He is an expert in minimally invasive surgery, including nerve sparing robotic prostatectomy, robotic kidney surgery, robotic bladder removal and neobladder reconstruction. Dr. Manoharan was one of the first urologists in the United States to perform robotic bladder removal surgery and reconstruction of neobladder using a Pfannenstiel incision. He also specializes in other minimally invasive ablative cancer procedures, such as high-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) therapy, cryotherapy and the NanoKnife procedure to treat prostate cancer. He has extensive experience training medical students, residents and oncology fellows. He has won numerous awards for his teaching and clinical excellence, as well as his research work. Dr. Manoharan’s research interests include stem cell applications, biomarkers and cancer outcomes. He serves as an editorial reviewer for several scientific publications. He is also widely published in peer-reviewed medical journals and is an invited speaker at national and international scientific symposiums. Adeel Kaiser, M.D., is a board-certified radiation oncologist at Baptist Health Miami Cancer Institute and clinical associate professor at Florida International University Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine. He specializes in the treatment of gastrointestinal and genitourinary cancers using proton beam, IMRT, and theranostic and MRI-guided adaptive therapies. He aims to provide each patient with a personalized, integrative treatment strategy for their cancer by incorporating complementary therapies with state-of-the-art radiation technology. Dr. Kaiser attained his undergraduate and medical degrees from Johns Hopkins University and completed his radiation oncology training at the University of California Irvine/City of Hope Integrated Program in Radiation Oncology. Prior to joining Miami Cancer Institute, he held faculty appointments at the University of Maryland, Johns Hopkins University and Loma Linda University. At the University of Maryland, he served as director of the Advanced Modalities Fellowship Program. This program trained national and international students in emerging radiation oncology modalities, including pencil beam proton therapy, GammaPod radiosurgery and deep tissue hyperthermia. Dr. Kaiser also served as instructor of the Varian Proton Therapy School as well as director of the Integrative Wellness Program at the Maryland Proton Treatment Center, which sought to incorporate diet, exercise, acupuncture and emotional support strategies with radiation therapy. Dr. Kaiser is widely published in peer-reviewed medical journals. He has led multiple clinical trials and was the first radiation oncologist to lead an NIH-funded ketogenic diet pilot study for patients undergoing active surveillance for prostate cancer. Dr. Kaiser is fluent in English, Urdu and Hindi.
