Luis Rodriguez, M.D., F.A.M.S.S.M., is a primary care sports medicine physician with Baptist Health. He specializes in non-surgical treatments for acute, overuse and chronic orthopedic problems, with a special interest in sports related injuries, joint arthritis, diagnostic musculoskeletal ultrasound, ultrasound guided procedures and orthobiologics. Dr. Rodriguez received his medical degree from the Luis Razetti School of Medicine at Universidad Central de Venezuela in Caracas, where he was awarded five Outstanding Performance Awards during clinical rotations. He completed an internship and residency in Internal Medicine at The Cleveland Clinic Foundation– Florida Program, and a Fellowship in Primary Care Sports Medicine at UHS Wilson Memorial Hospital in Johnson City, N.Y. An academic affiliate of SUNY Upstate Medical University. He currently serves as team physician for Inter Miami C.F., the U.S. Ski Team, Miami F.C. and Florida International University and a variety of college. He is Board-certified in Internal Medicine, Primary Care Sports Medicine and is a member of the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine and the American College of Sports Medicine.

Heberto Valdes, M.D., is a board-certified endocrinologist at Baptist Health South Florida. He treats patients with hormone-related diseases, such as diabetes and thyroid disorders. Dr. Valdes is passionate about endocrinology because it allows him to play a critical role in the lives of his patients. Through lifestyle modifications and innovative therapies, he helps patients prevent potentially life-altering conditions. Dr. Valdes joined Baptist Health South Florida from Broward Health in Fort Lauderdale. In addition to treating patients, Dr. Valdes is an assistant professor of medicine at the University of Central Florida (UCF) College of Medicine. He has also participated in several endocrinology clinical trials, led presentations for the Endocrine Society and American College of Physicians. His philosophy to patient care is to always prioritize the needs of the patient first. This philosophy has allowed him to provide compassionate care without compromising treatment excellence. When he is not treating patients, Dr. Valdes enjoys a variety of outdoor activities and stays as active as possible. He is fluent in English and Spanish.

German Ojeda-Correal, M.D., is a nonsurgical spine care physician and the director of musculoskeletal rehabilitation at Baptist Health Miami Neuroscience Institute. Dr. Ojeda-Correal specializes in physical medicine and rehabilitation, musculoskeletal disorders, electrodiagnostic medicine and spine disorders. He is fluent in English and Spanish. Prior to joining Miami Neuroscience Institute in 2022, Dr. Ojeda-Correal served as a physiatrist at Conviva Physicians. Dr. Ojeda-Correal’s work has been published in PM&R, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Journal, the American Journal of Physical Medicine, and multiple electronic publications and book chapters. He is a member of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, the Colombian Society of Orthopedic Surgery and Traumatology, and the American Medical Association. Dr. Ojeda-Correal’s approach to patient care is based on listening to the patient. The amount of information he receives contributes to determining the patient’s diagnosis and seeing from the patient’s perspective gives him a better understanding of the situation. Helping the patient feel relief at the end of their treatment rewards him with a sense of satisfaction. When he is not treating patients, Dr. Ojeda-Correal enjoys spending time with family, biking, reading, listening to audiobooks and traveling.
