Joanna Sheldon, APRN, is a certified advanced nurse practitioner at Baptist Health, specializing in primary care. She speaks fluent English and Spanish. Joanna started her nurse practitioner career at Signify Health after earning her Doctor of Nursing Practice from Florida International University. She then worked at the Good Health Clinic, a nonprofit clinic dedicated to serving the uninsured in the Florida Keys. At Baptist Health, Joanna assesses, diagnoses and prescribes treatment plans for adult and geriatric patients in outpatient settings and via telehealth. He leads the committee’s work in reviewing research and writing guidelines for prostate cancer treatment. Dr. Garje serves on the editorial board for Current Problems in Cancer and is a reviewer for multiple journals including Journal of Clinical Oncology and Journal of Oncology Practice. Dr. Garje is passionate about providing individual care to each patient because each has a unique journey. He takes time to listen to patients and walks with them throughout their treatment. When he is not treating patients, Dr. Garje enjoys spending time with his family and traveling, always with a camera in hand. He is fluent in English, Hindi, Telugu and Marathi.
