Benz Research & Development has been in existence for more than 20 years and focuses on developing technology and materials for the ophthalmic industry. Founded in 1941, Halkey-Roberts manufactures a range of valves for medical, inflation and pressure relief applications. It provides tubing clamps, hand pumps, oral inflation tubes, mounting flanges and humidity indicators. The company offers products for original equipment manufacturers, as well as the medical device and container industries. Halkey-Roberts has a more than 70,000-square-foot facility in St. Petersburg in Florida. It has a staff of over 200 individuals. The company has achieved ISO-9001 and ISO-13485 certifications. Halkey-Roberts is a wholly owned subsidiary of Atrion Corporation, which is a supplier of medical devices and components for the health care industries.
