Anastasia Tousimis, M.D., MBA, is a breast surgical oncologist and serves as deputy director of Baptist Health Cancer Care, chief of breast surgery at Baptist Health Cancer Care, medical director of the Al and Jane Nahmad Women’s Cancer Center and chief medical liaison of the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center Alliance. Dr. Tousimis earned her medical degree at Albany Medical College in New York and a master’s in business administration degree at Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Her post-doctoral training includes a general surgery residency at Guthrie Clinic in Pennsylvania, a breast oncology surgery fellowship at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City and a surgical oncology fellowship in minimally invasive techniques at the European Institute of Oncology in Italy. Working in other countries and learning from various cultures has helped Dr. Tousimis connect with a diverse range of people and build trust that is central to the doctor-patient relationship. Having empathy and responding with compassion are her primary patient care skills, which she says are necessary for providing personalized care that meets her patients’ needs and goals. During her free time, Dr. Tousimis cherishes spending quality time with her family, and they often enjoy participating in outdoor sports and traveling together.

Dennis Orkoulas-Razis, MD

Dennis Orkoulas-Razis, M.D., MHS, is a board-certified hematologist oncologist at Baptist Health Miami Cancer Institute. He is passionate about medical oncology with specific interests in gastrointestinal cancers, early onset cancers and cancer prevention. Dr. Orkoulas-Razis is actively involved in research activities to improve cancer care, and his work has been published in peer-reviewed medical journals and presented at national symposiums. He serves as a reviewer for the National Cancer Control Plans for the Union for International Cancer Control and the World Health Organization. He also contributes to the scientific community as a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology and the American Society of Hematology. After earning a master’s degree in biochemistry and molecular biology with honors at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health in Baltimore, Dr. Orkoulas-Razis earned his medical degree at the University of Maryland School of Medicine, also located in Baltimore. He completed an internal medicine residency at the University of Maryland Medical Center and a hematology oncology residency at Montefiore Einstein Medical Center in New York City. He is board certified in internal medicine and hematology by the American Board of Internal Medicine. As a medical oncologist, Dr. Orkoulas-Razis guides his patients through the difficult path of cancer care. He delivers advanced, compassionate, patient-focused care aligned with each patient’s values and choices. Dr. Orkoulas-Razis is fluent in English and Greek and conversational in Spanish and French.
