AFC Enterprises is the franchiser and operator of Popeyes Chicken & Biscuits, one of the world's largest quick-service chicken concepts based on number of units. Popeyes has more than 1,800 restaurants in the United States, Puerto Rico, Guam and nearly 25 other countries. Sales by company-operated restaurants reached more than $300 million and revenues of the franchises were more than $110 million in 2003. Franchising is the main aspect to AFC s business, and it offers support to its franchise operators, from new restaurant designs and menu items to operational and marketing services. The company has decentralized its field operations, reorganized Popeyes marketing strategy and built a new management team. AFC is also the former owner of Church's Chicken, Cinnabon and the Seattle Coffee Company, which was bought by Starbucks. AFC Enterprises is headquartered in Atlanta.

It operates more than 165 Popeye's restaurants throughout Florida, Alabama, Illinois, Georgia, Mississippi, Louisiana and Missouri.
