She earned her medical degree from American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine in Sint Maarten. She completed her residency in pediatrics at Broward Health Systems-Salah Foundation Children’s Hospital in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. She then completed a fellowship in pediatric cardiology at University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, followed by an instructorship in pediatric cardiac critical care at Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston.
