History

Back in the early 1980's, Edmond (Ned) Morin had a love for power equipment & wanted to open a power equipment store named after his only son, Robert Patrick. Ned changed the property from Residential to Commercial, but the family home still remains on the property. Not long after having the zone changed and creating the logo for the store he dreamed of, Ned realized how much he disliked the New England weather and packed up & moved to sunny Florida. In 1992, Robert met his wife, Alaine, discussed his plans and desires to open the store that his father had always dreamed of. In the months to follow, Robert and Alaine set into motion the necessary steps to get started. After many site plans and board meetings, in 1995, five days before Robert and Alaine were to be wed, the Town of Prospect granted them permission to open a power equipment store, RPM Power Equipment, Inc. Excited by the wonderful news, the construction began and by God's grace the business was opened on June 1, 1996.
