The Bruce Museum was originally built as a private home in 1853. In 1908 it was handed over to the town of Greenwich to be used as an art museum. It features 8,000 square feet of gallery space with state-of-the-art amenities. The museum has received accreditation from the American Association of Museums. Drawing from its own collection, and from loans and traveling exhibitions, the museum hosts more than 16 exhibitions per year. The museum holds more than 15,000 objects in fine and decorative art, natural history and anthropology. The Bruce Museum is located in Greenwich, Conn.
