Westmark School

Located in Encino, Calif., Westmark School offers comprehensive elementary, middle and high school programs for students with learning difficulties. It provides various academic, athletic and extracurricular programs. Founded in 1983, the school s facilities include a sports court, playground, cafeteria, and computer and science labs. It serves students with multiple learning disabilities, such as dyslexia and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. The school s curriculum includes English, mathematics, science, drama, home economics, art, physical education, social studies and reading. It has an after-school learning center that organizes after-school homework classes for students in grades eight through 12. The school has a library that offers a collection of more than 15,000 volumes of supplemental texts and reference materials. Westmark School is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges.
