Rancho Palos Verdes, CA 90275

The Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy, founded in 1988, has preserved over 1,700 acres of open spaces on the Peninsula, including the Palos Verdes Nature Preserve which spans 1,400 acres with over 30 miles of trails through rolling hills, steep canyons, and rock outcrops. The Conservancy holds and seeks conservation easements over the properties, managing the Preserve according to guidelines outlined in the Natural Communities Conservation Planning NCCP program.

With a mission to protect natural lands and provide valuable refuges and wildlife corridors for animal and plant inhabitants, the Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy works in collaboration with private and public partners to preserve the diverse habitats and spectacular views of the Palos Verdes Peninsula. Through the efforts of volunteers, contributors, and various governmental organizations, the Conservancy fulfills the dream of saving open space for current and future generations to enjoy.
