Started in 1943, Pines Christian School provides Pre-K through Fifth Grade education for Harbor City and the surrounding South Bay communities. Based in Harbor City, Calif., the school is continuing the ministry started by Western Avenue Baptist Church and Schools over fifty years ago. Originally known as The Normont Baptist Church, it offers activities, including Kid's Night Out and many others. The curriculum of Pines Christian School includes A Beka Book that provides Christian schools with religious textbooks and teaching aids to help each school fulfill the goal of its ministry.
