Bethany Lutheran School

Bethany Lutheran School, based in Long Beach, Calif., operates under the aegis of Bethany Lutheran Church and offers a preschool and day school for kindergarten through eight-grade students. It has been in operation for more than 55 years and is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges. The school follows the course study pattern of Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod and includes all branches of instruction required under California s education law. The school provides computer classes for all grades and maintains a state-of-the-art computer lab, and also employs a full-time technology coordinator. In addition, students participate in trinity choir for grades four and five, troubador choir for grades six through eight and handbell choir for grades seven and eight. Bethany Lutheran School also operates an after school music academy for piano, string and voice organ lessons and offers in-school band instrument instruction through the Roscoe School of Music.
