Founded in 1965, The Athenian School has an enrollment of more than 450 students in grades six through 12. It is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges and the California Association of Independent Schools. The Athenian School incorporates a curriculum that includes several basic disciplines, such as English, social studies, science, mathematics, foreign languages and physical education. It offers other programs that include the fine and performing arts, athletics, debate and robotics, as well as an airplane construction project. The Athenian school provides a variety of athletic activities that include cross country, soccer, tennis, volleyball, football, basketball, wrestling, softball, swimming and track. It is based in Danville, Calif.
