Dr. Albert Shieh is an endocrinologist whose clinical practice focuses on osteoporosis and calcium disorders. He currently sees patients in Westwood, Torrance and Santa Monica, and is board certified in endocrinology, diabetes and metabolism, and in internal medicine. Dr. Shieh received his medical degree and completed his internal medicine residency at Weill Cornell Medical College in New York. He then moved to Los Angeles, where he completed his endocrinology fellowship at UCLA. He grew up in the greater Boston area and earned his undergraduate degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he majored in biology. In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Shieh is actively involved in osteoporosis research, and has published in top journals in his field, including the Journal of Clinical Endocrinology & Metabolism, the Journal of Bone and Mineral Research, and Osteoporosis International. His research was recognized by the American Society for Bone and Mineral Research through a Young Investigator Award. Jeff Bronstein received his bachelor's degree from the University of California, Berkeley and M.D. and Ph.D. from UCLA as a recipient of the Medical Scientist Training Program Award. He completed a residency in Neurology and fellowship training in Movement Disorders at UCLA. Dr. Bronstein also completed a postdoctoral fellowship in molecular biology before being appointed an Assistant Professor of Neurology.
