Dr. Nida Qadir joined the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at UCLA as a Clinical Assistant Professor in 2017. She completed her Internal Medicine residency at the New York University School of Medicine, followed by a fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at New York-Presbyterian Hospital. She is board-certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Disease, Critical Care Medicine, and Neurocritical Care.As an intensivist, Dr. Qadir focuses on the diagnosis and management of life-threatening conditions representing the extremes of human disease. She integrates the most advanced evidence-based medical practice with an understanding of patients values to provide individualized and patient-centered management plans. She spends the majority of her time in the ICU, where the care of critically ill patients begins. However, due to advances in medicine, the number of patients surviving an ICU admission continues to grow, as does the need for post-ICU care. Dr. Qadirs outpatient practice focuses on the unique needs of survivors of critical illness, particularly individuals who have survived acute respiratory failure.
