The Southern California Public Power Authority (SCPPA) is a Joint Powers Authority established in 1980, dedicated to the joint planning, financing, construction, and operation of transmission and generation projects. Representing eleven municipal utilities and one irrigation district, SCPPA serves over 5 million Californians across a 9,000 square mile service area, supplying 16% of California's power.
