The South Pasadena Police Department is a law enforcement agency that is divided into field and support service divisions. It maintains a detective bureau that handles a variety of investigations, including arson, auto theft, burglary, child abuse, domestic violence, embezzlement, forgery, fraud, homicide, juvenile matters, missing persons, narcotics, rape, robbery and sexual offenses. The South Pasadena Police Department also has a K-9 division that handles issues related to drug intervention, tracking, and searches for persons, buildings and evidence. The department supports a cadet program that educates youths to learn tactics, procedures, laws and other daily duties of police officers. The South Pasadena Police Department is located in South Pasadena, Calif.

Monterey Park Police Department

The Monterey Park Police Department is a full-service police agency. It staffs sworn police officers and civilian personnel who provide crime protection services. The department conducts regularly scheduled checkpoints. It also offers assistance services through several programs, such as the Neighborhood Watch, Citizen Patrol and Citizen's Academy. The department s staff is equipped with cars, motorcycles and bicycles. The Monterey Park Police Department operates traffic, animal control, communication and investigation bureaus.
