We are a small, local business that strives for big things through word-of-mouth and great customers who appreciate what we do. 2024: Smallgoods wins the Readers Choice vote for “BEST Sandwich” in San Diego Magazine’s, Best Restaurants of 2024 - woohoo! We are a husband-and-wife artisan cheese shop, caterer and cafe with a quality-over-quantity approach to American-made, slow-food cheeses, cured meats and takeaway fare. Our sandwiches are old-school simple but with great ingredients and sell out often. A favorite with locals, first-timers and travelers who enjoy experiencing the best in American-made artisan cheeses, cured meats, deli offerings and fresh, uncomplicated sandwiches in a casual, local vibe. Everything is made-to-order so patience is needed. Very limited seating, but our gorgeous La Jolla beaches are just a block away making for a memorable and inexpensive, American-made gourmet coastline picnic. Kitchen hours: 11-4.
