Seven Tepees Youth Program (STYP) has been a vital support system for young people and their families in San Francisco for over 25 years, focusing particularly on Black, Indigenous, and youth of color. Although STYP concluded its direct programming in 2022, it has transitioned to the Seven Tepees Fund, which provides grants to community programs aimed at enhancing youth mental health and fostering connections to nature.
Over the past year, the Seven Tepees Fund has awarded fourteen grants to community-based organizations and clinics in the Bay Area, continuing its legacy of culturally responsive care and creating opportunities for the youth it has historically served. The board of the Seven Tepees Fund is set to complete its mission, with plans for dissolution by the end of 2025.
