I stayed here when I first started working in the SF area. Great place to stay, friendly staff, complimentary coffee in the mornings. I stayed in room 314 a few times and that had the best view...

Samesun at San Francisco is just a short walk from Fisherman's Wharf, home to our resident sea lion population and Pier 39. Sample some world-famous sourdough bread and fresh seafood, then hop on a cable car to Union Square. Walk back through Chinatown, visiting the home of the fortune cookie and continuing into North Beach, San Francisco's Little Italy, and the home of the Beat Generation. Just 4 (very steep!) blocks away from the hostel lie the twists and turns of Lombard Street. The Palace of Fine Arts and Golden Gate Bridge are visible from our balcony rooms, so long as the San Francisco fog isn't blocking the view.

Very happy visiting hostels on a scavenger hunt trail in sf ca ..u could too ..but u r busy with kids ..not very energetic for the adventure ..the sun is visible ..setting sun in marina ..after...

Very quiet, very clean and smack in the middle of downtown. The rates are very affordable. Breakfast served in the morning. What more could you possibly want?!
