Riverfront Playhouse

Founded in 1981, Riverfront Playhouse is the longest continually operating all-volunteer community theatre in the region, initially established by a group of passionate local theatre enthusiasts. The first performance took place on July 10, 1981, and one year later, the organization achieved 501(c)(3) non-profit status.

In 2020, Riverfront Playhouse relocated to its current venue at 1950 California Street in downtown Redding, where it continues to contribute to the local cultural landscape. Committed to community involvement and artistic expression, Riverfront Playhouse remains a vibrant hub for theatre lovers in the Redding area.
