Perez Alfonso Special Education Center

Opened in 1966, A. B. Perez School is a public school that serves disabled and nondisabled students in kindergarten through grade 12. It offers a variety of program designs, including special day classes, secondary departmentalized programs, as well as community-based instruction. The school offers special programs for children with hearing and visual disabilities, as well as speech, physical and occupational therapies. A. B. Perez School offers a range of sports activities, including soccer, hockey, basketball, cheerleading and softball. In addition, it organizes field trips and other community outings for its students. The school also offers a community-based interaction program where students practice tasks, such as a shopping, mailing letters and obtaining money orders. A. B. Perez School is located in Los Angeles and is a part of the Los Angeles Unified School District.
