History

The Nanka Kyudo Kai is the offspring of the Los Angeles Kyudo Kai estabalished as early as 1916. The Los Angeles Kyudo Kai was re-established by Koen Mishima Sensei & Hirokazu Kosaka Sensei in 1976 at the request of some of it's founding members. The Nanka Kyudo Kai was established by a senior student of Kosaka Sensei, Rick Beal, to promote ANKF Style Kyudo in Southern California. Since June of 2000 The Nanka Kyudo Kai has made it's home at the PJCI - Pasadena Japanese Cultural Institute.
