Sierra Azul Preserve, managed by Midpen, encompasses over 19,000 acres of stunning wilderness in the Santa Cruz Mountains, showcasing diverse landscapes and habitats. With 26 miles of multiuse trails available for hiking, biking, and horseback riding, visitors can explore the scenic beauty while spotting local wildlife such as mountain lions, deer, and bobcats.

Beautiful hike. Moderate difficulty. Not that crowded in mid August. The road to the hiking trailhead is winding. Some parts of the right side trails are shaded.
