In 1952, Mardee Kidd and Val Kidd opened a small food store in Lodi, Calif., which is today s Mar-Val Food Stores. The company has grown to four stores and over 200 employees. Have been going to Mar-val store for 20 years. I only shop there when I don't want to go to Lodi. Mar-Val's prices are higher than normal so it is only for convenience.
