Collaboration. That is the key to the success of Mandeep (Mona) Singh, MD as she approaches her patients with enthusiasm, vigor, and a big smile. By combining her two interests – kids and science – it made her choice to become a pediatrician an easy one. Dr. Singh has been practicing for nearly 10 years and during that time, she has found her career to be extremely rewarding and enjoyable. Her favorite parts of her job include having conversations with her patients and watching them grow over the years. As she says it best, “Kids are funny, little people that make me smile. I love the variety of patients and interactions I have.” She focuses on building a collaboration with every patient and their family to yield the ultimate results. As a pediatrician, she views her role as a facilitator and enjoys being a part of the team on the journey to good health. A Missouri native, Dr. Singh received her medical degree from University of Missouri, Columbia School of Medicine. Upon completion of medical school, she decided to come to California for her residency at University of California, Irvine and fell in love with the area. Outside of the office, Dr. Singh enjoys reading traveling, and being with family and friends.

Dr. Mangonon grew up in Long Beach and was surrounded by medicine at an early age, both of her grandparents were physicians. By learning about their professions, it piqued Dr. Mangonon’s interest and her grandmother, an internal medicine physician, served as her inspiration to pursue a career in medicine. Dr. Mangonon has always enjoyed working with kids and has worked with children in a variety of settings, including as a teacher in an after-school program, a camp counselor, and a nanny. Pediatrics allows her to practice her love for medicine along with her love for kids which is a fantastic combination! According to Dr. Mangonon, “I enjoy being able to watch kids grow up and experience every stage of life with them and their parents. It’s extremely rewarding that they trust me to care for them. As we grow together, our relationship grows as well. Before we know it, each visit feels like catching up with an old friend.” Dr. Mangonon focuses on being relatable, approachable and down to earth when working with her patients and their families. As a mom to a young child, she can relate to new parents well and aims to be open and develop a bond with each family. She received her medical degree from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine and completed her residency, and served as Chief Resident, at University of California, Irvine / Children’s Hospital of Orange County. She works with children of all ages and happily accepting new patients. Fluent in Spanish, Dr. Mangonon enjoys her time away from the office with her husband, daughter and dog as well as eating desserts, specifically anything chocolate!

Mary Anne Galang-Lomboy, MD

A Southern California native, Dr. Galang-Lomboy grew up in a household where her mom was a nurse and she was surrounded by medicine. In fact, she had the responsibility to care for her three younger brothers and therefore, her empathetic nature, big heart, and caring demeanor working with kids became apparent at a very early age. Dr. Galang-Lomboy chose to pursue a career as a pediatrician as she loves being around kids. Whether it is meeting the babies, interacting with toddlers, or advising adolescents, she finds it extremely rewarding and fun. She particularly enjoys the close bonds she develops with the families as she watches their children go through the various life stages. Knowing that not all kids are alike, Dr. Galang-Lomboy’s approach to her patients is one that incorporates listening, empathy, and flexibility. She wants her patients to know that she is a part of their team and will work with them on all aspects of their health care. According to Dr. Galang-Lomboy, “I love everything about my job! The most rewarding aspect is that the parents are appreciative. I make it a priority to not rush and take my time to listen and consider the child’s feelings and make sure they are being heard.” Dr. Galang-Lomboy earned her medical degree from St. Louis University School of Medicine and then completed her residency at University of California, Irvine Medical Center. She has been practicing for over 18 years and treats children of all ages. During her time outside of the office, Dr. Galang-Lomboy enjoys time with her family which includes her three sons, reading, traveling, and sightseeing.
