History
After teaching prenatal and postnatal yoga for several years, we developed our first prenatal yoga teacher training in 2015 and launched Lotus Blossom. We continue to offer classes for pregnant women and new moms/babies, as well as an annual teacher training and mentorship. Online workshops are in development.
Specialties
Lotus Blossom Prenatal Yoga offers classes for expectant and new moms, as well as pre & postnatal teacher training. When working with moms, we create a warm, safe space where pregnancy discomforts and questions regarding pregnancy, birth, and postpartum are addressed through conversation and key elements of a well-rounded yoga practice: * asana (posture) practice * mindfulness meditation * pranayama (breathing exercises) * classical yoga philosophy * community-building * prenatal education (labor prep and early parenting) * exercises to build core (pelvic floor) stability Our unique mentorship-based teacher training program supports new teachers to find their own voices as they learn to facilitate well-rounded classes. Lotus Blossom grads all over the west coast have gone on to teach their own pre and postnatal yoga programs or have woven their education into other modalities serving expectant and new families (i.e chiropractic care, doula service, etc.).
