Long Beach Financial Management

The Department of Financial Management administers the financial affairs of city and serves as primary financial adviser to City Manager. Its administrative services division prepares and manages departmental budgets, provides legislative analysis on fiscal matters, manages personnel issues, supports labor negotiations and conducts miscellaneous special projects. The department s Commercial Services Bureau provides a utility bills, business licenses, parking citations, preferential parking permits, and billing and collection services. In addition, it operates purchasing and treasury divisions. The Department of Financial Management is governed by the city of Long Beach in California, which manages police, fire, community development and human resources departments.
