The Torrance Juvenile Diversion Program is a division of the Torrance Police Department. Mental health professionals and police personnel work together to provide a range of intervention and prevention programs. The program coordinates youth-related programs between the city of Torrance, Torrance Unified School District and other community agencies. Programs designed to assist youth and their families include individual and family therapy that focuses on family problems, adolescent adjustment, delinquent behavior, substance abuse and child abuse; group counseling sessions accessible at high schools and middle schools that focuses on school and personal problems; wilderness experience/juvenile diversion, which is a unique blend of wilderness experience combined with group counseling; and the fire setters program where diversion personnel work in conjunction with the Torrance Fire Department to provide assessment and intervention for youths relating to fire problems. The Torrance Juvenile Diversion Program is located in Torrance, Calif.

The Inglewood Police Department employs more than 200 sworn personnel and nearly 130 civilian support staff members. The department consists of multiple resources, such as specially trained canines, enforcement units, forensics, investigators, a bike team, public relations, fiscal services, recruitment, vice and narcotics. It investigates crimes against persons, homicide, robbery, assaults, forgery, automobile theft, real estate fraud and economic crimes. The Inglewood Police Department has a gang intelligence unit, motor section, traffic enforcement group and community affairs section. The department has operated since 1908. It is based in Inglewood, Calif.
