The Amateur Athletic Foundation, also known as AAF, supports a wide range of youth sports programs. The foundation awards grants to youth sports organizations within the southernmost counties of California. The private nonprofit institution also conducts its own sports activities and coaching programs. AAF operates one of the largest sports research libraries in North America, the Paul Ziffren Sports Resource Center. The foundation also maintains a collection of historic sport art and artifacts, which were inherited from the former Helms sports halls of fame. Its online educational resources range from scholarly research reports to interactive games for kids. AAF has its headquarters in Los Angeles.
