Prior to joining UC San Diego Health, Dr. Loredo practiced general medicine for four years in rural Alabama. Dr. Loredo is an instructor in critical care, pulmonary and sleep medicine. He is currently teaching medical students, internal medicine residents and pulmonary fellows at the Medical Intensive Care Unit at the San Diego VA Hospital, UC San Diego Sleep Medicine Center, and the San Diego VA Pulmonary Sleep Disorders Clinic. Dr. Loredo completed his fellowship at UC San Diego School of Medicine, and earned his medical degree from Loma Linda University, School of Medicine. He holds a Master of Public Health in epidemiology at San Diego State University Graduate School of Public Health. He is board certified in internal medicine.
