Since 1971, Kimochi has provided culturally sensitive, Japanese language-based programs and services to 3,000 Bay Area seniors and their families each year. Services include transportation; referral and outreach services; health and consumer education seminars; healthy aging and senior center activities; social services; congregate and home delivered meals; in-home support services; adult social day care; 24-hour residential and respite care. Social Services Program Kimochi social workers and case managers offer a variety of support services for seniors, their families, and friends. Homecare Registry Kimochi Social Services offers a homecare registry to provide in-home support services for seniors. In-home support enables persons to live at home independently by hiring a homecare provider to assist with activities of daily living. In addition to arranging services provided by a homecare provider, Kimochi provides case management to all service recipients and support to their family caregivers. Family Caregiver Support Program Kimochi offers various support programs for family caregivers and friends. There is no charge unless otherwise stated. These programs are only for unpaid family caregivers only.
