Iron Horse Middle School

Iron Horse Middle School is affiliated with the San Ramon Valley Unified School District. It has an enrollment of more than 500 students and offers a curriculum for students in grades six through eight. It provides a wide range of subjects that include English, language arts, literature, foreign language, social studies, science, mathematics, computer technology, music, and health and physical education. The middle school also offers advanced technology course that includes hands-on and activity-based lessons focusing on various fields of study, such as digital photography and music, computer animation, lasers and fiber optics criminology, computer special effects, electronics, and architectural design. The school campus has a computer laboratory, library and cafeteria. Its after school sports programs include basketball, volleyball, football, cross country, Frisbee, and track and field. Iron Horse Middle School also holds various outdoor classes for observation, collection of data and a variety of scientific experimentations by the students.
