ICS International Community School

International Community School, operated by the Oakland Unified School District, was founded in 2001. Its academic curriculum includes reading, language arts, math, science and social studies. The school serves students in kindergarten through grade five. It provides Spanish bilingual language maintenance and English programs. International Community School also offers adult and special education programs. The school organizes various enrichment activities and events, such as poetry contests, field trips, guests sessions and art shows. In addition, it provides various after-school programs.
