The fortuitous meeting of a belly dancer and a Punjabi merchant was the spark that began what would ultimately become Gypsy Eats. Leila & Karan Kumar have infused their passion for healthy, locally grown ingredients into their delicious recipes. Catering and event planning, highlighting a seasonal menu and artisanal foods! We serve fresh, fun, flavor forward food. We are proud to serve Indian, Italian, Persian, and new American menus. Always fresh and always in season. We support family farms in southern and central California. We serve grass fed meats and poultry, and local raw dairy on request. Special knowledge of allergies, halal, kosher, GAPS, panel, gluten free, vegan diets, food sensitivities and preferences. We love to create healthy kids party menus as well. We use recyclable materials for our food presentation. Rental and sustainable floral coordination available for additional fees. We can book you a piano player, belly dancers and quite possibly other entertainment as well. Just ask!

This is a really good Chicken Miksal and veggie plate! I had it at Melrose trading post and really hit the spot! Especially for Indian type of food. A must try even if I think I spelled the dish...

We worked with Gypsy Eats to cater our backyard wedding reception. I didn't actually get to eat much (you know how it goes on your wedding day), but we got TONS of compliments on the food....
