Gridley Street Elementary School

Established in 1958, Gridley Elementary School is a three-track school that provides learning opportunities to students in kindergarten through grade five. Its academic curriculum includes various subjects, such as English, mathematics, reading, writing, social studies and science. The school offers supervised after-school playground programs, as well as bilingual, Title I, special education and intervention programs. It also offers the Drug Abuse Resistance Education (D.A.R.E.) program, which provides information about the dangers involved in using drugs. The school also offers gifted and talented education and conducts evening computer education and English as a Second Language classes. It additionally participates in the federal lunch and breakfast programs that provide meals to students. Gridley Elementary School is a part of the Los Angeles Unified School District and is located in San Fernando, Calif.
