Kris Palmer is a highly accomplished musician holding a Doctorate of Musical Arts, specializing in flute and its various forms, including piccolo, alto flute, and bass flute. As the Founder and Director of Black Cedar Chamber Music, she has garnered recognition for her expressive performances that encompass a wide array of cultural diversity across four centuries.

In addition to her role at Black Cedar, Palmer serves as the Principal Piccolo for the Golden Gate Park Band and Music Director of the San Jose Youth Symphony Flute Choirs.
