Floating Zendo is a Soto Zen meditation study center located in San Jose, California. Established in 1999, this Buddhist community offers weekly online meditation practices and monthly in-person half-day sessions. Led by Angie Boissevain, Sensei, the Sangha focuses on the teachings of Soto Zen founder Dogen and other Buddhist literature, exploring themes such as self-awareness and the application of Buddhist precepts in daily life.

With a commitment to providing individual instruction and welcoming beginners, Floating Zendo emphasizes the practice of Zazen, or seated meditation, followed by walking meditation and a short service during in-person sessions. Although lacking a dedicated meditation center, the Sangha offers various opportunities for service and socialization within the community. Through their meditation practice, participants are encouraged to embrace honesty, self-reflection, and the present moment.
