History

After training and supervising child psychologists and postdocs in psychotherapy and psychological testing for many years at WestCoast Children's Clinic in Oakland Dr. Arrillaga opened a practice in Berkeley in 2012. His vision has been to provide clinical services that focus on people's existing strengths and how to use relationships and self-reflection as a means of healing and feeling empowered to pursue their potential and life goals. More recently, Dr. Arrillaga has expanded his business to reach individuals and families in the Lamorimda area and beyond by establishing an additional office in Lafayette.

I am a licensed clinical psychologist with over 10 years experience working with adults, adolescents and children. I believe that compassion and insight into one's personal struggles can lead to powerful, positive changes in life. I offer psychotherapy and psychological testing services that are relational and collaborative. I incorporate Cognitive Behavioral and Narrative Therapy approaches into my work as a therapist with adults and older teenagers. Psychotherapy Areas of Specialty: self-growth, young adult college adjustment difficulties, addictions, mood and anxiety disorders, men's issues, multicultural families, interracial relationships, non-violent communication, life transitions, and adoption issues. Psychological Testing for children (ages 4-18) and adults regarding emotional, behavioral, developmental, social and learning difficulties.
