Chico Kodenkan Martial Healing Arts is a California 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that has been serving the community since 1939. As the oldest martial arts school in Chico, they offer a variety of martial and healing arts classes, including Danzan Ryu Jujitsu, Aikibujutsu, Iaido, and Capoeira. With a supportive atmosphere and experienced black belt instructors, Chico Kodenkan provides a safe and inclusive environment for learning and practicing these ancient arts.
Founded by Professor Merlin Bud Estes, a student of Master Henry Sieshiro Okazaki, Chico Kodenkan has a rich history rooted in the teachings of Danzan Ryu Jujitsu. Over the years, the organization has expanded to offer additional healing arts services, such as massage therapy and Chinese herbs.
