HistoryLela started teaching ballroom dance in Los Angeles, CA during her competitive ballroom dance career. She coached at home in the US as well as abroad in Europe and Asia. After retiring from competitive dancing, Lela moved to New York City where she continued coaching ballroom dance on a competitive level, while also expanding her repertoire to special events as a stylist and wedding dance choreographer. Lela's affinity for studying the relationship that ballroom dance represents led her to receive her bachelor of science in Communication and professional certification in health coaching. Moving back to California, she has continued to work with both singles and couples, in private coaching and group workshops, in the relational dynamics of dance and how it applies to intimacy and the art of relationship.SpecialtiesLela specializes in coaching couples for their wedding dance as well as those who want to take their dancing to a performance or competitive level.
