The Solid Waste Division is a public agency that provides a range of waste collection and disposal solutions for residential and commercial properties throughout the City of Little Rock in Arkansas. It offers garbage transportation, treatment, processing and pickup services. The division additionally provides curbside recycling and yard waste disposal solutions. It collects several household goods, such as couches, chairs and carpets. The division also recycles newspapers, corrugated cardboard boxes, grocery bags, junk mails, magazines, food containers, aluminum cans, plastics, and water and juice bottles. It has contractual partnership with Waste Management to provide curbside recycling services within the city. The Solid Waste Division is a part of the Public Works Department, which also operates administration, operations, building services and traffic and civil engineering divisions.
