The Parks and recreation Department of the City of Hot Springs is responsible for the care, maintenance, development and promotion of more than 17 city parks totaling over 160 acres, the downtown historic district, 30 acres of landscaped parkway, eight miles hiking and biking trails, and the city's annual holiday lighting displays. Cooperative programs of the Parks and recreation Department include coordination of volunteer activities and projects, participation/partnerships with other community service providers and grant preparation/administration.
