Child Crisis Center Family RSRC

Founded in 1981, Child Crisis Center-East Valley provides emergency shelter, child abuse treatment, counseling, prevention and medical care services to more than 11,000 children. Its emergency shelter program provides 24-hour care to children up to 11 years old. The center also offers various short- and long-term counseling and behavioral health services, including individual, family and group counseling, behavior management, play therapy, parent consultation and eye movement desensitization and reprocessing. Its family resource center conducts parenting classes on a range of topics, such as newborn baby care, parent anger management, contemporary parenting and co-parenting through divorce. Additionally, the center offers respite care services to more than 40 children up to 11 years of age. Child Crisis Center-East Valley is located in Mesa, Ariz.

PREHAB of Arizona, now known as A New Leaf, is a nonprofit human service agency that offers a variety of domestic violence, homeless and youth programs. The agency maintains a staff of more than 400 employees, over 30 board members and several donors and volunteers. A New Leaf offers 24-hour emergency shelter and transitional housing program for victims of domestic violence. Its services include safe housing, nutrition meal, case management, child care, domestic violence and substance abuse counseling, parenting education and life-skills classes. The agency also provides immediate crisis stabilization, evaluation and mediation, referral, after-care follow-up, and individual, family and group counseling services. A New Leaf has been operational since 1971 and maintains a presence in Mesa, Ariz.
