Christine White, OD

Dr. Hammonds is a board-certified optometrist at EyeCare Associates in Hoover, AL. She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia and her Doctor of Optometry from UAB, followed by a residency in geriatrics and low-vision rehabilitation. With over 30 years in practice, she has held leadership roles including President of the Alabama Optometric Association and SECO International. She enjoys travel, swimming, and family time.

Dr. Ashley Savage is a primary care optometrist at EyeCare Associates in Hoover, AL. She earned her BS in Biological Sciences from Stillman College, where she was an NCAA Division II dual-sport athlete, and her Doctor of Optometry from UAB School of Optometry in 2020. Dr. Savage completed a residency in ocular disease and primary care at the Memphis VA Medical Center, focusing on conditions like glaucoma and diabetic retinopathy. She provides comprehensive eye care, including glasses and contact lens fittings, and is currently accepting new patients.

Dr. Barry Curtis is a primary care optometrist at EyeCare Associates, serving patients in Birmingham and Hoover, AL. He earned both his BS in Biology and Doctorate of Optometry from UAB, where he was a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa Honor Society. His clinical training emphasized ocular disease and complex contact lens fittings. Outside the clinic, Dr. Curtis enjoys playing music, spending time outdoors, and hanging out with his dog, Chuy.
