Explore the Norwegian Nature Center - an exciting experience center for Norwegian nature, climate and environment. The center is located on the most popular route between Bergen and Oslo, in Øvre Eidfjord along the national tourist road Rv 7, near the Hardangerfjorden, Måbødal and Vøringsfossen at the foot of the Hardangervidda. We made it our task to bring about an intimate meeting of modern man and nature. The Norwegian Nature Centre is an experience centre for the whole family, featuring lively exhibitions, hands-on activities and visual effects. Today, the centre is one of the leading centres of its kind, featuring state-of-the-art technological effects and innovative teaching technologies. Join us on a spectacular journey through fjords and mountain landscapes and mighty waterfalls in our new panoramic film. Our exhibitions are available in 13 different languages.

Olav H. Hauge (1908–1994) is one of Norway's most prominent poets, and he lived his entire life in Ulvik. At Hauge Poetry Museum, you may explore Hauge's life story and poetic works, and experience poetry in many forms and across language barriers. The museum offers experiences for both children and adults. Located beautifully by the fjord, with views of the mountains from the old municipal building in Ulvik. From his home at Rossvoll, the poet and fruit farmer Hauge gained broad views and extensive knowledge by reading world literature. He wrote poems about everyday life and nature, and pondered many thoughts about life and literature in his diaries. In the exhibitions, you may explore various aspects of Hauge's poetry and his unique life. You may see his extensive book collection and get to know the authors who inspired him. Guided tours at 12.30 during the summer season. Groups may book guided tours of the exhibition, poetic writing courses, and film screenings. Welcome!
