Tonbridge is one of our busiest branches with a thriving local community, many base themselves there and commute daily into the city. Tonbridge is a thriving market town and is incredibly popular with commuters due to the excellent and regular train services into the city from the town centre station. The town boasts a fine example of a 'Motte and Bailey' Norman castle built in the 13th century, set on the banks of the river Medway with the castle grounds abutting Tonbridge Park offering covered/open air swimming pool, tennis courts, children's play areas, miniature railway, putting etc. Tonbridge offers an excellent range of retail and leisure activities with many High Street stores, banks and building societies, coffee shops, restaurants and local inns. The mainline station provides fast commuter links into London (Cannon Street, London Bridge and Charing Cross in approximately 40 minutes) with road links to the M20 and M25 motorways via the nearby A26 and A21. Tonbridge offers first-rate primary and secondary schooling, including grammar and public Schools, many of which perform consistently well in the league tables. There are superb insights into old England waiting for you at Tonbridge and West Malling. Idyllic manor houses and a postcard-pretty castle sit in an ancient landscape where woods and fields undulate towards villages and hop farms. Tonbridge also prides itself on some intriguing Jane Austen links to the town.

Our Hawkhurst branch sits in the centre of this bustling Kent village with its traditional colonnade of shops. Hawkhurst is an affluent village and Parish about 12 miles South East of Royal Tunbridge Wells. The village was made famous by smugglers in the mid 1700s and Barnardo's Children's Home in 1886. There are two distinct areas: The Moor to the South with a mixture of attractive cottages clustered around the village green, and Highgate to the North featuring a colonnade of independent shops, country pubs, a hotel, digital cinema as well as supermarkets for day to day needs. Marlborough House School is an independent Co Ed with around 340 pupils with ages ranging between 3 and 13. Also to choose from Hawkhurst Church or England School, St Ronans Prep School and Cranbrook Co Ed Grammar School with ages 13+. Nearby places to visit include 14th Century Scotney Castle, historic Sissinghurst Castle as well as Bedgebury National Pinetum and Forest, a 300-acre Pinetum which contains over 12,000 trees and shrubs from across 5 continents. There are excellent road and rail links servicing the community with regular mainline services into London from nearby Staplehurst and Etchingham Station and easy access to the road network via the A21.

Freeman Forman's Robertsbridge office is situated right on the High Street, near to Senlac Vets and Judges Bakery. Robertsbridge is a thriving community with a friendly village feel and there is plenty to do and get involved in. The high street offers a variety of shops including a Post Office, pharmacy, artisan coffee shop and convenience stores. There is also an excellent selection of pubs within the village and surrounding areas. The area supports several good state and private schools. The village of Robertsbridge is thought to date back to 1176, when a Cistercian abbey was founded there by Abbott Robert De St Martin. The name Robertsbridge was first used in 1198 when Richard I granted a market charter. The abbey was dissolved in 1538, however, the village flourished and many of the oldest houses in the village date back to the 14th and 15th centuries. The characterful high street boasts a collection of wonderful houses and cottages.
