Palivere is famous for its sand dunes and pine forests. Pikajalamagi or Pikajala Hill is the highest point in Laane County - 51 m - and home to a fortress whose construction began in the early part of the second millennium but was never completed. Around 11,000 years ago the sea lapped the foot of the hill. The old ski jumping tower on the hill is no longer in use, but it offers unbeatable views over the surrounding area. Hiking trails also wind their way over and around the hill.Did you know...?*The spring at the foot of the hill is said to have a restorative effect on the eyes, making them sparkle and leaving you looking forever young! Valgejarve Nature Trail

At the beginning of the 6.5 km long trail there is a map and general information. There are 4 points of interest with descriptions, an observation tower, a boardwalk, a recreation site provided with a shelter, a bonfire place and a dry toilet on the trail. Sights: Lake and Marsh Valgejarv, feeding places for animals, wolf’s yard, a hunting stand, springs, a tar burning stove.

The 1 km long track runs along the former riverbed of the Kloostri River, it has steep ascents and descents and requires courage and skills to master the vehicle from a driver. The track is narrow and there is no possibility of overtaking.Additional information: It IS a cross-country track (not a cross-country area), which means that a particular track and direction has been marked in the natural surroundings. The track is suitable for driving with ATVs, but it is prohibited to drive there with off-road vehicles due to the nature of the track.
