Old Man/Lighthouse Trail

On the upper plateau you will get to meet Trout River’s Old Man, an ancient sea stack located about 400 meters away and 39 meters above the Atlantic Ocean. Explore our scenic coastal Long Range Mountain hiking trail. The Lighthouse trail showcases beautiful geology including rugged cliff plateaus and a spectacular view of the Tableland Mountains, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. At the end of the trail, you will get up close and personal with Trout River’s lighthouse which has been an essential part of the community for years. On this cliff plateau you get stunning view of the Atlantic Ocean and fishermen tending to their traps.
